This week was suuuuper crazy. Stressful and chill at the same time. This should be good. Tough week- We have a lot of people who have committed to baptism, but many of them had lots of problems this week. Our teaching pool is slowly shrinking, and almost all of our finding efforts have fallen through or were not helpful. Elder Vallejo and I still have faith that God will bless us even though it feels like He is kinda slapping us in the face. I'm just trying to figure out what God is trying to get me to learn right now. Carbón monoxido- You had a long day of hard missionary work in the sun. You slither into your sheets as the heavenly sensation of lying down is bestowed upon you. You fall asleep, then bleeeeeeee bleeeeee bleeeeee, "Elder, the fire alarm".... You run outside of your house to discover that it is actually carbón monoxide. Super fun thing as well. We are still sleeping in the house of the zone leaders, which is super fun and also way inconvenient. I had
What's up my guys. Just a super brief email for ya. I hope you are doing great. Send ya boy an email. We are super busy. Hopefully the following week we will be even more busy. We are always tired, and I always wanna sleep. My bed is my best friend. Honestly, so much stuff. We stayed at this lady's house for 2 HOURS. Have you ever just sat there listening to someone ramble in your second language for 2 HOURS when you're really tired? Man, it was hard to focus. We were 45 mins in and finally it started getting good, so we began reading and answering her questions about why there are so many churches and about priesthood authority. It was crazy and tiring. One of our friends who we recently baptized texted us and said he wouldn't go to church anymore because there just wasn't any sense in it. When we went to his house we just listened and I asked him many, many questions. Ultimately, I determined that he had not received a testimony of the Book of Mormon. We re

What is up mis amigos. How is life in the Motherland? Hope your chickfila and trucks are treating you well. Shoot ya brotha an email a time or two. Halloween here was a little anticlimactic. It's a little dangerous here, so there aren't a ton of little kids running around at night. Though our neighbors hung up their Christmas decorations on Halloween, so that was cool. We went to the Chapel and did a little mission thing with the primary kids. We taught a lesson about being a missionary, and the theme for the whole activity was "I want to be a missionary." We got in the primary room and began our lesson with "we are in a war, this war is super dangerous, this is God's war, and we need to help Him." I then pulled an incredibly sharp and awesome sword from my bag (which was actually a balloon sword - shout out dad) and began to explain that we need to help in this war of sharing the gospel. We handed out our balloon swords to all the kids and sh
Sup fam. How you done been in the good ole Estados Unidos? Don't take the air and the green for granted. Also the mountains. And sanitary living conditions. And naps. Yes ... naps. We say God's greatest creación was man, but really it was the nap. Well let's get into it... We had intercambios with the zone leaders and it was awesome. An intercambio is when 2 companionships swap companions for the day. I was with Elder Harms for the day. A ton of our lessons have been falling through so when we had the intercambio it was nice to have a full day with no missed lessons. It was really refreshing because he just knew what to do and was a great teacher in the lessons. As I am exposed to many good missionaries I try to pull apart things that they do and make them my own. I have a lot of gringo moments because I am trying to lead lessons in the area but I'm trying to run before I can walk. Soooo... there are a lot of "what the crap did I just do" moments. One of th

This one will have to be shorter. I never have time with only the one phone, but here goes nothing... Reactivating familia lopez We have been visiting with the Lopez family for some time now. They are already members of the church, but they have not been coming to the church for some time. We could tell that they had many other problems as well. Now they are a different family. We had a small dinner, lesson, and shared our "American coke floats". They expressed sincere thanks for our visits, and it was a touching moment for everyone. The gospel has the means of changing families. It allows us to become close to on another and achieve happiness in our homes. Señor usted es el mujer de la casa... Jaja. We were in a quick lesson with a family who are members of the church. Normally I like to show respect to the father by saying that he is the man/head of the house and should choose who can say the opening prayer, but as I said the question I messed up the word ho
